A Brooklyn English teacher was arrested Thursday on accusations she repeatedly had sex with a 16-year-old student she was supposed to be tutoring.

Erin Sayar, 36, was arrested on statutory rape charges, stemming from an investigation by the city's special investigator for schools.

The investigator was tipped off about the relationship with the unidentified student and Sayar, who is married and has a 3-year-old daughter, after the boy's girlfriend found flirtatious messages between the two on his Facebook account. They also allegedly exchanged nearly 4,000 text messages in over three weeks last year.

The boy allegedly admitted to sleeping with his teacher up to a dozen times, sometimes in her SUV.

The city's investigator suggested Sayar be fired.
