Sean Saves The World
In the first couple of minutes of the new Sean Hayes sitcom "Sean Saves the World," the flamboyant actor -- who once did, in fact, help save NBC as Jack McFarland on "Will & Grace" -- begins to try to tell his daughter why her newly single father, who is now out of the closet, ended up with a daughter from an ex-wife.
He tells a joke, playing off the old children's rhyme "Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear," while he giggles and the laugh track roars.
His daughter sits there stone-faced and not amused.
I was also stone-faced and not amused.
This is a dreadful sitcom with actors we've liked in the past, such as Hayes and "Alice" star Linda Lavin, making us forget why we liked them in the first place. There is just no saving this utter failure.
