Watch it: A woman with a cell phone in a Charlie Chaplin movie?

It’s really hard to tell if this is a fake, but a scene in “The Circus,” a 1928 Charlie Chaplin movie, appears to show a woman on a cell phone. Obviously, there was no such thing as a cell phone at that time. But what other explanation is there?
