When it comes to the city's sports teams, the Yankees may be top fans' pick as the best in the city, a new poll showed, but that doesn't mean they aren't rooting for the other teams.

The survey released Tuesday by NY1 and Marist College found that 63% of New Yorkers say the Bronx Bombers are the best area sports team in the last 20 years.

"With five World Championships, seven pennants and seventeen playoff appearances, it is clear the Yankees have stood out from all the rest as the city's favorite team," NY1 anchor Budd Mishkin said in a statement.

The Giants came in second place with 15%.

Although the Mets, Jets and Knicks didn't get more than 5% favorability, Gotham sports fans still had hope for their future. More than half of the responders said in the next 20 years they predict Amazins, Gang Green and the Knicks will win their respective championships.
