Papakonstantis has big hit for Sachem E.

Dean Papakonstantis' RBI single scored Chris Kennedy in the top of the eighth inning to give Sachem East the lead for good in a 6-2 win over Brentwood Tuesday in a Suffolk League I baseball game. The single made it 3-2 and Brendan Jones added a two-run double for Sachem East (4-7).

Half Hollow Hills West 6, Copiague 1: Senior Remy Janco threw a three-hitter, walked three and tied a career high with 16 strikeouts for HHHW (7-6) in League IV.

Newfield 3, Half Hollow Hills East 2: Caleb Olesen hit a two-run homer in the sixth to give Newfield (6-7) a 3-2 lead in League III.

Riverhead 10, Comsewogue 8: Gabe Rice allowed one earned run in 5 2/3 innings of relief to lead Riverhead (5-5) in League IV. Jon Tucci led off the sixth inning with a homer that gave Riverhead a 9-8 lead after trailing 7-2.

Southampton 4, Mount Sinai 3: Collin Buoniello's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth gave Southampton (2-9) a 4-3 lead in League VII. Buoniello hit a two-run homer in the third to make it 3-1.

Mattituck 6, Hampton Bays 0: Steve Ascher threw a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts and no walks for Mattituck (10-1) in League VII.

Locust Valley 5, Wheatley 3: Joe Sorbara's RBI single with two outs in the top of the seventh gave Locust Valley (10-3) a 4-3 lead in Nassau Conference BC-I.

North Shore 3, Floral Park 1: Pat Lynn threw a two-hitter, allowing one earned run, with eight strikeouts and one walk for North Shore (7-6) in Conference A-V.

Carey 12, Long Beach 0: John Daddino threw a one-hitter with 17 strikeouts and no walks to lead Carey (7-4) in Conference AA-III

Clarke 10, Valley Stream North 0: Tim Ingram allowed two hits in six innings with 13 strikeouts and one walk for Clarke (12-1) in Conference A-VI.

Herricks 9, Port Washington 8: Jeff Kim hit a two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth to give Herricks (2-9) a 9-8 lead in Conference AA-II.

South Side 7, Division 6: David Hawley walked with the bases loaded to give South Side (9-4) a 7-6 lead in the top of the eighth inning in Conference A-II. Division scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the score.

Farmingdale 5, Massapequa 4: Ian Kornfeld hit a two-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to give Farmingdale (7-4) a 5-4 lead in Conference AA-I. Seaford 9, Mineola 8: Eddie Schaller's two-out single in the bottom of the seventh won it for Seaford (10-3) in Conference IV.

St. John the Baptist 4, Kellenberg 2: Kevin McLaughlin hit a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth to break a tie at 2 for SJB (8-6) in CHSAA.

Upper Room 26, Solomon Schechter 0: Ramon Laureano hit three home runs for Upper Room in IPPSAL.
