Pepe's double delivers for Commack

Rocco Pepe's double scored Greg Andrews in the bottom of the third as Commack defeated No. 16 Deer Park, 2-1, Saturday in the fourth round of the Suffolk Class AA baseball losers' bracket playoffs.

Rob Rose pitched a two-hitter and struck out six for No. 8 Commack (19-6), which will host West Islip at 11 a.m. Monday in a losers' bracket semifinal.

Glenn 9, Islip 5: Colin Dia gave up five hits and three earned runs in seven innings to lead No. 3 Glenn (18-5) over No. 9 Islip in the Class A losers' bracket. Rich Bartumioli was 3-for-4 with four RBIs for the Knights. Glenn will host Mount Sinai in a losers' bracket semifinal at 11 a.m. Monday.

Mount Sinai 14, Kings Park 4: Mark Donodio went 2-for-5 with three runs to lead No. 6 Mount Sinai (13-9) in the Class A losers' bracket. Nick Venier homered for No. 4 Kings Park.
