The New York Lottery resumed Mega Millions payouts at retailers Thursday, following a “human error” earlier this week that led to suspended prizes.

No details have been provided as to when people can cash tickets at New York Customer Service Centers and video lottery facilities.

New York Lottery paid out $5,538 to people who showed tickets with the wrong winning number to retailers before 10 a.m. Wednesday through a Lottery account for uncashed tickets.

On Tuesday, the winning gold Mega ball for the $86 million Mega Millions drawing was listed as the number 6 instead of 9. A statement on the official Mega Millions website read that a host on the televised drawing "incorrectly called the Mega Ball a 6 instead of a 9. The 9 ball was drawn into the chamber and is the official result."

The other five winning numbers were reported correctly: 15, 19, 20, 61 and 70. So the actual winning numbers for the $86 million jackpot were: 15, 19, 20, 61, 70 and the Mega ball 9.
