Sinisgalli wins it for Glenn in OT

Bryce Sinisgalli scored the winner on an assist from Mike Tufano a minute into the first overtime as Glenn topped Kings Park, 13-12, Saturday in Suffolk Division II boys lacrosse.

Thomas Forsberg added six goals and two assists for a career high in points for Glenn (6-3).Eastport-South Manor 15, Sayville 10: Junior Ryan Curley had a career-high nine points (two goals, seven assists) and sophomore Matt Prokesch had career highs in goals (five) and assists (two) for ESM (5-3) in Division II.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Plainview JFK 12, Herricks 11: Kelly Carcich (seven goals, four assists) scored three goals in overtime, including the winner with 1:00 left for Plainview (3-4) in A-II. Samantha LaSpina (four goals) tied it at 9 for Plainview with 1:30 left in regulation.

Shoreham-Wading River 9, Bay Shore 8: Jessica Angerman (three goals) scored off a pass from Corinne Wiederkehr to give SWR (7-3) a 9-6 lead with 7:55 left in Division II. Lauren Daly (eight saves) made a stop with nine seconds left.

BASEBALL

Sayville 6, East Hampton 4: Bryan Rolon's two-run single in the seventh inning broke a tie at 4 for Sayville (10-2) in League VI.

Smithtown East 3, Newfield 2: Will Bennett singled in Alex Federico to give East (6-6) a 3-2 lead in the sixth in League III. Junior Ryan Craig pitched a complete game for his first win.

SOFTBALL

St. Anthony's 3, Sacred Heart 0: Freshman Aileen Reilly struck out a career-high 12 with no walks in a four-hitter for St. Anthony's (8-2) in CHSAA. Marilyn Freeman and Coley Parkas each homered.

Long Island Lutheran 16, Portledge 1: Danielle Vollano threw a two-hitter with eight strikeouts for Lutheran (8-1) in IPPSAL. Kaitlin Scagluso was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs. Portledge (8-1) had been undefeated in league play the last two seasons, according to LuHi coach Helen Speck.
