Mark Tucker's sacrifice fly with one out in the top of the eighth drove in Argileo Camuy as Floyd (3-4) defeated Ward Melville, 3-2, in League I. Ward Melville tied the game at 2 on an RBI single in the seventh, but Nick Brass retired the next two batters on a strikeout and a caught stealing at home to strand three runners.

Brass struck out the side in the eighth. Starter Cameron Sorgie allowed three hits and struck out 10 in 61/3 innings.

Hauppauge 1, Deer Park 0:Joe Policastro singled home Tyler Scanlon in the top of the first for Hauppauge (6-1) in League V. C.J. Schildt pitched a four-hitter, walking none and striking out three. Joe Muenkel struck out six and allowed just three hits and a walk for Deer Park.

Eastport-South Manor 3, Harborfields 0: Joe Palmeri threw a three-hitter, allowing one walk and striking out eight to lead Eastport-South Manor (6-0) and improve his record to 4-0.

Division 12, Hewlett 2: Sean Abbate pitched a three-hitter, striking out eight and allowing no walks, to lead Division (6-3) in Conference A-II. Rob McNamara went 2-for-2 with four runs and J.J. Kissane went 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs.

North Shore 3, Manhasset 0: Junior Cody Johnson pitched a one-hitter, striking out a career-high 17 for North Shore (5-4) in Conference A-V. Johnson allowed only a single with one out in the second inning. Timmy Aughavin hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the third to score North Shore's first run.

Great Neck North 6, West Hempstead 2: Josh Benton gave up six hits and struck out eight in a complete game to earn his first varsity win and lead Great Neck North (2-7) in Conference A-IV. Kyle Heyman was 4-for-4 and Jeremy Berney went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

East Rockaway 4, Carle Place 3:Anthony Tesoriero singled with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to drive home Mikey Lores for East Rockaway (7-2) in Conference BC. David Hobbs pitched a six-hitter, striking out 11 and allowing one earned run.

Oyster Bay 7, Friends Academy 0: Joe Siringo threw a one-hitter with two walks and 14 strikeouts for Oyster Bay (9-0). Siringo lost the no-hit bid on an infield single with one out in the seventh inning. The Baymen had a five-run fifth, capped by Willie Trieber's two-run double.

Locust Valley 2, Malverne 1: Eamonn Boyd singled home Nick West in the top of the third to give Locust Valley (6-3) a 2-1 lead. Ryan Ries' fielder's choice earlier in the inning tied the game at 1. Haydon Taylor struck out a career-high 14 batters in the complete game.
