MacArthur junior Jesse Tuozzo struck out a career-high and school-record 18 batters while giving up just one hit in a 4-1 win over Port Washington in a Nassau Conference AA-II baseball game Friday.

Kevin Roach's run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth gave MacArthur (3-0) a 2-1 lead. Roach scored later in the inning on an RBI double by Will Cheshire.

Baldwin 6, East Meadow 4: Louie Aponte's two-run double in the top of the fifth broke a tie at 4 for Baldwin (2-1) in Conference AA-II.

Uniondale 5, Great Neck South 4: Christian Fuentes doubled in Joel Rotestan in the bottom of the seventh to win it for Uniondale (9-0). Jose Polanco pitched a scoreless seventh for the win.

West Babylon 1, Copiague 0: Matt Ballone stole home in the sixth inning for West Babylon (6-0) in Game 2 of a doubleheader between League IV teams. Dillon Clancy struck out six and scattered six hits for the win. West Babylon won Game 1, 12-0.

East Hampton 8, Westhampton 1: Deilyn Guzman took a perfect game into the seventh inning and finished with a two-hitter and 11 strikeouts for East Hampton (4-2) in a League VI game. Ryan Joudeh went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the win.

Hauppauge 7, Patchogue-Medford 5: Mike Mazzeo had a two-run single and Peter Guzman scored on a squeeze by Tyler Scanlon during a five-run sixth for Hauppauge (3-2) in a non-league game.

SOFTBALL

Great Neck South 15, Uniondale 0: Courtney Taylor threw a five-inning no-hitter with eight strikeouts and three walks for Great Neck South (2-3) in a Nassau Conference AA-II game. Emily Glazer went 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

Plainview JFK 14, Calhoun 0: Katie Rutcofsky struck out 10 and walked two in a five-inning no-hitter for Plainview JFK in a Conference AA-II game. Ashley Calise had a three-run triple and Traci Lichtenstein followed with a home run in the fifth.

West Babylon 17, Newfield 0: Taylor Webb had 12 strikeouts and one walk in a five-inning no-hitter to lead West Babylon (7-0) in a League III/IV crossover. Webb lost the perfect game on a walk in the third. Brianna Scotto was 3-for-4 with four RBIs.

Farmingdale 3, Carey 1: Isabella Corrao had two hits and two RBIs and struck out 13 in a two-hitter for Farmingdale (5-3) in Conference AA-I.

Hewlett 8, Mineola 6: Amy Vitha had a three-run homer and Nicole Rizzo a three-run triple as Hewlett (2-6) overcame a 5-0 deficit in Conference A-III.

North Shore 2, Division 1: Lexi Marshall had a two-run single in the first for North Shore (5-1) in a Conference A-II game. Marshall also scattered six hits and struck out 14 to earn the win.

Northport 12, Ward Melville 9: Molly Jarrett had a sac fly and Nicole Pirretti followed with a run-scoring single during a five-run top of the seventh for Northport (4-4) in a League I/II crossover game.
