The second annual Thanksgiving Day Massapequa Turkey Trot fundraising races will take place Thursday at John J. Burns Park.

A Family Fun Run that starts at 8:15 a.m. and a 5-kilometer race that begins at 9 a.m. will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Long Island chapter.

Awards will be presented at 9:45 a.m. The top overall female and male will receive a frozen turkey. Refreshments will be served.

For the 5k run, there is a $30 fee for race-day registration. To participate in the Family Fun Run, there is a $15 fee for race-day registration. For more information, visit turkeytrotmassapequa.com or call 631-370-7530.
