Ricky VanAllen (nine strikeouts in four innings) combined with Kenny Mongiardo, Joe Portela and Patrick Madigan to pitch a no-hitter for Holy Trinity in a 10-0 non-league win over McClancy Tuesday in baseball. Jack Parenty had a three-run homer, and Andrew Mize and Donald Cryspin each had two-run homers.

SOFTBALL

Valley Stream South 4, Valley Stream North 2: Danielle Bowker had a run-scoring single during a three-run sixth to give South a 4-2 lead in non-conference. Christie DeMarco had two hits and two runs and Ashley Tkacsik struck out five, walked none and scattered five hits for South.

Malverne 5, Port Washington 3: Eighth-grader Sydney Witowski struck out 11 and allowed no earned runs in her first varsity start to lead Malverne in non-league. Kim Ramsawak went 3-for-4 in the win.

Cold Spring Harbor 7, Roslyn 4: Haley Rosenfeld went 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs and Julie Watson went 1-for-2 with an RBI for Cold Spring Harbor in non-league.

East Hampton 4, Pierson 1: Deryn Hahn went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and Kathryn Hess had two hits to lead East Hampton in non-league. Sam Mathews struck out seven and allowed one run in a four-hitter.

GIRLS TRACK

Farmingdale 120, Oceanside 70: Jennifer Cajou won the 100 meters (13.4), the 200 (27.0) and anchored the winning 4 x 100-relay (54.8) for Farmingdale in a Conference I quad meet. Hempstead took third (36) and Hicksville (25) fourth.

Hewlett 116, South Side 104: Vanessa Pierre won the long jump, triple jump and 400 meters for Hewlett in a Conference III meet. Liz Textor won the high jump with a height of 5 feet, 3 inches to lead South Side. Sewanhaka took third place (49) and Division was fourth (6).

Plainedge 134, Lynbrook 70: Stephanie Maybie won the high jump (5-3) and Courtney Tibaldi won the 400 hurdles in 1 minute, 23.1 seconds for Plainedge in a Conference III meet. Lawrence took third with 36 points.
