A modern build in Amagansett is on the market for $3.2 million, with annual taxes of $2,384.
Taxes this low are commonplace for the area since the school district is so small, said Dawn Neway, of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. She is co-listing the property with her sister, Diana Neway, along with Amelia Nash.

The house, which is boxy in appearance and totals 670 square feet, was designed by Bates Masi Architects. The firm has completed several projects in the area with similar sleek, contemporary shapes and finishes.
"Not only did they do the house, the designer designed all of the furniture in the house," Neway said. This includes built-in features such as a custom bar in the living room and nightstands in the bedrooms.

The Ocean Lane house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was built in 2014 and sits on a 0.28-acre lot, quite close to the ocean shore, Neway said.
Other notable features include a full unfinished basement, blackout shades in the bedrooms, a built-in flatscreen television, an outdoor shower and radiant heat flooring in the bathrooms.

The property is in the Amagansett Union Free School District (up to sixth grade) and the East Hampton Union Free School District.
"It has walls of glass on three sides of the main area, and it's on a dunescape," Neway said. "The whole idea is to bring nature in."
