PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- I must have missed the memo but Wednesday was apparently also Rankings Day. Here's how the Mets fared in several different measures:

Franchise value: 6th
Forbes' annual franchise valuations came out, with the magazine estimating the Mets' worth at $811 million, just behind the fifth-place Phillies ($893 million). The remaining four franchises are worth upward of $1 billion with the Yankees in the lead at $2.3 billion.

Minor league system: 16th
That's according to Baseball America, middle of the pack in the game and in the National League East (hat tip MetsMinorLeagueBlog.com). Check out the full rankings, though they are available only to BA subscribers.

Fan loyalty: 26th
Ouch. But so says Forbes. Look on the bright side Mets fans: You've got the Mariners, Pirates, Royals and the Astros beat. The Yankees rank No. 1 followed by four National League stalwarts: the Phillies, Giants, Cardinals and Braves.
