This might be the last contest we do here...of this week.

I stumbled upon "Coach," the late '80s-early '90s sitcom starring Craig T. Nelson as the football coach of fictional Minnesota State, in the process of researching a "Pop Quiz" question. I saw only bits and pieces when it was on back in the day.

I found it to be an enjoyable show, but not a hysterically funny one. As the show kept going - this DVD package has Season 1 - it seemed to grow increasingly comfortable with what it was and what it wanted to do. It's character-driven, and the characters are quite liekable.

Anyway, I'll give this pack of two DVDs to the first person who e-mails me - at kdavidoff@newsday.com - with the correct answer to this question:

In the episode "Gambling for Meat," Luther (Jerry Van Dyke) gets suspended from his job and mentions how Wally Pipp lost his job to Lou Gehrig. With what major-league team did Pipp end his career?

--Here are the contest rules.

--UPDATE, 4:23 p.m.: We have a winner! Bruce the Bullet, as he's known on Twitter, knew that Pipp concluded his career with the Cincinnati Reds.
