Astros lefthander Dallas Keuchel and Dodgers righthander Zach Greinke have been selected to start Tuesday night's All-Star Game in Cincinnati.

American League manager Ned Yost of the Royals and National League manager Bruce Bochy of the Giants made the selections. The starters were revealed at a news conference Monday afternoon.

Keuchel, who will start for the American League, is having a breakout season. Keuchel is 11-4 with a 2.23 ERA in 19 starts for the Astros, who trail the L.A. Angels by a half game in the AL West.

Greinke, the National League starter, is 8-2 with a 1.39 ERA in 18 starts for the Dodgers, who are in first place in the NL West.

Keuchel got the starting assignment over Chris Archer of the Rays, Sonny Gray of A's, Felix Hernandez of the Mariners, David Price of the Tigers and Chris Sale of the White Sox. Since Gray pitched on Sunday, he was replaced on the roster by Hector Santiago of the Angels.

Greinke beat out the Mets' Jacob deGrom, Max Scherzer of the Nationals, Gerrit Cole of the Pirates, Shelby Miller of the Braves, Madison Bumgarner of the Giants, Michael Wacha of the Cardinals, and A.J. Burnett of the Pirates. Scherzer pitched on Sunday and was not under consideration to start. Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers replaced him.
