The Mets avoided salary arbitration with Ike Davis, agreeing to a one-year, $3.125-million contract with the first baseman, according to a source.
Davis, 25, overcame a sluggish start to hit .227 with a career-high 32 homers last season. He is expected to once again join David Wright in the middle of the Mets’ lineup.
Second baseman Daniel Murphy is the Mets’ final arbitration-eligible player.
