The Mets announced last night that Carlos Beltran has not been cleared to begin running or any baseball-related activities.

Beltran had surgery on Jan. 13 to remove cartilage in his knee. There was some kerfluffle as to whose idea the surgery was, with the Mets' finger pointing at Beltran.  It was widely hoped  that Beltran would resume running and working out six weeks after the surgery, which would have been April 7.

It is now April 21.
