Jason Bay: Can't knock the hustle
Despite his mystifying lack for power, Jason Bay has been a good fit in every other way, from a positive clubhouse presence to his gradually improving offensive numbers to playing a decent leftfield. I've been surprised that he hasn't taken more abuse from the Mets' impatient fan base, but maybe he's just a likeable guy.
Anyway, I was impressed by him busting it hard for that infield single in the ninth inning Sunday - after three hits already, including his fourth home run. Here's more on that and how Bay hopes that this performance vaults him into one of his better streaks.
