Jerry Seinfeld called Lady Gaga "a jerk" and her shtick "pathetic" and added, "I hate her," during an interview with WFAN's Steve Somers Monday night.

It was not entirely clear how serious the comedian was, and Somers laughed at several of his lines, but Seinfeld did seem genuinely annoyed by the singer's antics June 10 at Citi Field.

At the Padres-Mets game, she aimed an obscene gesture at photographers, was moved into Seinfeld's unused suite and stripped to a jewel-studded bra, then made another obscene gesture.

"You know, you take an 'a' off that [name] and you've got 'gag,' " said Seinfeld, who learned of Gaga's visit when he came to the second game of the day's day-night doubleheader.

"The woman's a jerk," Seinfeld said. "I hate her. I can't believe they put her in my box, which I paid for. You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we're living in now? It's pathetic."

He added, "Get an act. Rhinestone bikinis and giving people the finger? She is talented. I don't know why she's doing this stuff."

When Somers mentioned Gaga's equally controversial visit to Yankee Stadium Friday, Seinfeld said, "Oh, please. Wake me when it's over."

Seinfeld also critiqued car dealer Brad Benson's ubiquitous WFAN ads - "We don't need the horrible humor" - and previewed his appearance in the SNY booth for Wednesday night's Tigers-Mets game. Will he be doing any play-by-play?

"I could do that," he said. "How hard is it to say, 'There's a hit,'? "
