Dustin Pedroia doubled in two runs to spark an eight-run eighth inning and the visiting Boston Red Sox got home runs from Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Josh Reddick in a 15-10 rout of the Baltimore Orioles last night.

Pedroia, Kevin Youkilis and Darnell McDonald had three RBIs apiece for the Red Sox, who have won 13 of 15.

White Sox 5, Royals 2: Mark Buerhle (7-5) lasted seven innings as visiting Chicago capitalized on an error by Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar. Buehrle hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in his last 14 starts dating to April 22.

Indians sweep. Lou Marson hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the seventh as Cleveland completed a doubleheader sweep with a 6-3 victory at Minnesota. The Indians won the first game, 5-2.

Cubs 6, Phillies 1: Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Peña homered for host Chicago as Phillies ace Roy Halladay left the game because of the heat.

Nationals 5, Astros 2: Michael Morse and Ryan Zimmerman homered and Zimmerman drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth in Houston.

Braves 7, Rockies 4: Atlanta's Freddie Freeman homered and drove in three runs and Derek Lowe handcuffed host Colorado over 61/3 innings.

Diamondbacks 3, Brewers 0: Josh Collmenter pitched eight innings of three-hit ball for his first win in six weeks for host Arizona.

No new issues for Ryan

Tests on Texas Rangers president Nolan Ryan show no new heart problems for the Hall of Fame pitcher, who is hospitalized in Houston. The Rangers said in a statement the 64-year-old Ryan "continues to improve" after a series of precautionary tests. He is expected to be released from the hospital in a day or two.

Giants to White House

Next stop for the World Series champion San Francisco Giants? The White House. President Barack Obama will open the White House to the team next Monday in honor of its 2010 defeat of the Texas Rangers in the World Series last fall.
