Yankees acquire minor-league outfielder Tyler Hill from Tigers

The Yankees acquired outfielder Tyler Hill from the Tigers in exchange for cash considerations Thursday, the club announced Friday.
Hill was selected by the Tigers in the Triple-A phase of the Rule 5 draft Thursday. He originally was chosen by the Red Sox in the 19th round of the 2014 first-year player draft.
Hill, 22, hit .254 with one home run, 38 RBIs and 27 stolen bases in 124 games this season for Class A Salem.
