Andrew Bynum was benched by Mike Brown during the Lakers' 104-101 win over the Warriors Thursday night.

Let's venture and say it was with good reason.

The 7-0 center, 1-for-7 from downtown in his career entering the night, fired a three early in the third quarter with 16 seconds left on the shot clock. Not surprisingly, Bynum's attempt was WAY off, short and off right iron.

Brown immediately pulled Bynum, who seemed to get a kick out of the sequence of events.

Bynum, of course, isn't the first Lakers superstar to be "benched" by Brown. Kobe Bryant found himself on the pine for several minutes in the fourth quarter Sunday night during an ugly loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
