For the first time since 1989, the USA men's and women's basketball teams will sport a new logo.

Seen to the left, the logo, unveiled for the 20th anniversary of the 1992 Dream Team, will be worn by the men's and women's basketball teams for international play and in the London Olympics.

It's the third logo in the history of USA basketball. The first logo featured a red, white and blue basketball. The most recent logo, which was used from 1989-2011, can be seen here.

Jerry Colangelo, the USA Basketball chairman, said of the new logo, "We wanted to capture the history and character of USA Basketball while embracing the spirit of the current and future teams that will represent the United States of America. The mark of USA Basketball has become an iconic symbol of America's game and of championship teams, and we are excited to bring it into the modern era."

The men's national team kicks off training camp in Las Vegas on July 6. Their exhibition slate begins on July 12, and concludes in Barcelona on July 24. The women's schedule opens against Brazil on July 16 in Washington, D.C., and wraps up in Istanbul on July 24.

Earlier this week, Nike unveiled the new USA Basketball uniforms. You can find them here.
