So much for Jim Calhoun and UConn not contending this year.

The Huskies (5-0) ripped No.8 Kentucky, 84-67, at the Maui Invitational Final Wednesday night. It capped a marvelous week for the unranked Huskies, who topped No.2 Michigan State on Tuesday.

Kemba Walker was once again the unstoppable force as he dropped 29 points on 10-for-17 shooting. He got help once again from Alex Oriakhi, who had 18 points. Oriakhi had 15 points in the win over Michigan State.

Odds are Connecticut won't be overlooked anymore this year and is likely to crack the top 10 in next week's AP and coaches poll.
