Stony Brook Steve Pikiell expects to see a lively crowd when his Seawolves tips off against Boston University at Pritchard Gymnasium tonight at 9 pm. And why shouldn’t he? The team is off to its best start with hopes of winning its second regular season America East title in the last three seasons.

The hype for the game, which will be televised live on ESPNU and streamed live online on ESPN3, has been impressive.

Said Pikiell: "It's going to be a great game. We've got the students and the community behind us. We're going to be wearing our red on national television and hopefully the home court advantage gives us a boost. It's always good to play at home. There's a reason why home teams win the majority of games in college basketball."

If fans respond to the “Red Out” campaign the school has been promoting the last several weeks, the homecourt advantage could be the difference for the Seawolves. And why shouldn’t it be an advantage Stony Brook has won 10 straight home games dating back to last season.

Stony Brook will be wearing its road red uniforms instead of the traditional home whites.

With a big demand for tickets and the game already sold out to the general public, Stony Brook wisely thought ahead, implementing a ticket plan to ensure there won’t be a rush at the gate.

Tickets will only be available to students now. Students wishing to come to the game should were supposed to have reserved their spots by picking up a bracelet at the end of Wednesday’s game vs. Hartford. Only students with a bracelet will be able to gain entry tonight.

For Students coming to the game, in addition to receiving a free “What’s a Seawolf T-Shirt” there is a chance to win prizes:

• A semester of free laundry service
• A brand new 2012 Mercedes Benz C-Class
• $20,000, sponsored by Campus Dining
