Stony Brook is the No. 5 seed in the America East men’s basketball tournament, which begins Saturday and runs through the following Saturday. The higher seed in each round hosts.

Saturday, March 3 – Quarterfinals

Game 1: No. 7 UMass Lowell at No. 2 UMBC - 1 p.m.

Game 2: No. 6 New Hampshire at No. 3 Hartford - 4 p.m.

Game 3: No. 8 Maine at No. 1 Vermont - 7 p.m.

Game 4: No. 5 Stony Brook at No. 4 Albany - 7 p.m.

Tuesday, March 6 – Semifinals

Game 5: Lowest remaining seed at Highest remaining seed - 7 p.m.

Game 6: Second-lowest remaining seed at second-highest remaining seed - 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 10 - Championship

Game 7: – Semifinal winners – 11 a.m.

Women’s tournament

In the America East women’s basketball tournament, Stony Brook is the No. 4 seed. The tournament began with a play-in game Wednesday, where No. 8-seed UMBC knocked off No. 9-seed UMass Lowell, 73-65. Play continues Saturday and runs through next Friday. The quarterfinals and semifinals are at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine. The higher seed host the championship game.

Game 3: No. 4 Stony Brook vs. No. 5 New Hampshire - 2:15 p.m.
