Despite report, no blackouts for Jets

Could the first local NFL blackout be looming on the horizon?
In an interview with today's New York Post, Jets owner Woody Johnson said that the team has more than 10,000 unsold PSLs at the new Meadowlands stadium just a few months before the first ever game there. All of the unsold seats are in the lower bowl area of the arena, but not in suites or any other premium seating. This is an important distinction because NFL blackout rules state that all non-premium seats must be sold in order for the team to avoid a local blackout.
The Giants, on the other hand, haven't had any problems selling the controversal PSLs. However, the Post reports that there are currently 134 ads on eBay, Craigslist and stadiumpsl.com attempting to unload the Giants PSLs.
If a blackout does take place, it would be the first for the Jets since 1977. And a huge embarassment for a team coming of a season where they went to the AFC Championship game. Johnson doesn't seem concerned, though.
"We'll see the remaining PSLs," Johnson said. "I'm 100 percent confident."
UPDATE: Neil Best has informed us that in spite of empty seats, the Jets will NOT have any games blacked out.
