Dhani Jones as Gilbert Gottfried?
Add Bengals linebacker Dhani Jones, who once played with the Giants, to the list of people trying out as the new voice in Aflac commercials. Comedian Gilbert Gottfried was recently fired by the company after making insensitive jokes on Twitter about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
“There’s a lockout going on,” Jones says on his Youtube video audition, per the Cincinnati Inquirer. “I need a job. I’m telling you — I need a job.”
Jones said he heard on CNN that Aflac was looking for a new voice, and he shouted "Aflac" eight times on the video. “Gilbert Gottfried ain’t got nothin’ on me,” he said.
