Much like Sanchez, Flacco made it to the AFC Championship game in his rookie season and lost to the Steelers. Flacco led the Ravens to winning seasons in each of his first three seasons and threw a career-high 25 touchdowns with 3,622 yards in 2010.

Joe Flacco has been letter perfect in the playoffs so far, throwing eight touchdown passes without throwing an interception. If he throws at least one more TD pass and doesn't throw any picks in Sunday's Super Bowl against the 49ers, he'd become just the third quarterback in NFL history to finish a postseason with at least nine touchdowns and no interceptions.

The other two: former 49ers quarterbacks Joe Montana and Steve Young. Monday had 11 TD passes in 1989, and Young had nine in 1994. Both won the Super Bowl in those respective seasons.

"This is just one of those things you dream of when you are a little kid,” Flacco said. "You watch Joe Montana and those guys in the Super Bowl. So to be here at this point is pretty special.”
