Giants kicker Josh Brown was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the second Giant to receive the honor in a three-week span. It's the sixth time in his career Brown has won the distinction, and the second time with the Giants.

Brown kicked four field goals, including a season-long 53-yarder, in Sunday's 32-18 win over the Bucs. His 23 consecutive successful attempts are the NFL's second-longest active streak, behind Stephen Gostkowski of the Patriots with 28.

The 53-yarder also was the 36th of his career at 50 or more. He is second among active kickers in that regard, too, tied with Phil Dawson of the 49ers and trailing Sebastian Janikowski of the Raiders who has 50.

Interestingly, Brown and Tampa Bay's Connor Barth each kicked four field goals on Sunday (Barth missed a 43-yard attempt). According to Elias Sports Bureau, it was the first Giants game in which both teams kicked at least four field goals.

The last time Brown won the Player of the Week award was Week 16 of the 2013 season when he kicked three field goals, including a 45-yarder in overtime. That performance made him the first kicker in Giants history with three field goals longer than 40 yards in a regular-season game.

Dwayne Harris was the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week two weeks ago, after his game-deciding 100-yard kickoff return against Dallas.
