If it’s Wednesday, it must be time for Antrel Rolle to elaborated on some of the comments he made during his Tuesday radio interview on WFAN. Today he was asked about the statement he made over the radio regarding the team not being together.

Just as a refresher, he said: “Before we can worry about the Bears, we have to come together as the New York Giants, as the Big Blue. We have to understand and buy into the same program. Right now I don’t feel like we’re buying into the same program. It has nothing to do with any individuals or anything of that nature, but some things take time.”

So today he said he expects that to come around eventually. How will we know when it happens?

“We’ll feel it as an organization, we’ll feel it as a team,” he said. “You’ll see it in the stands, you’ll see it as reporters. It’s not something that’s going to be going across the skyline ‘Giants are united, they’re together.’ You all will feel it just as well as we will feel it.”

Rolle also said that he felt teammates saw his speech a week ago as a step forward as a leader.

“I know for a fact they saw it,” he said. “Whether guys approved of it or not that’s not my call. I don’t think I got any critical comments from my teammates. Tuck and myself had a talk, we had a great talk. I told him we have to do whatever it takes together to get this team going. Obviously he agreed with me.

“Whether they see me as a leader or not, I would hope that they do, but I’m still going to continue to do what I do.”
