JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (10-9)

CAMP SITE: Jacksonville, Florida.

KEY ADDITIONS: WR Calvin Ridley, PK Brandon McManus, RT Anton Harrison, TE Brenton Strange, RB Tank Bigsby, LB Yasir Abdullah, DT Michael Dogbe, DT Henry Mondeaux.

KEY LOSSES: RT Jawaan Taylor, DE Arden Key, WR Marvin Jones, TE Chris Manhertz, TE Dan Arnold.

KEY STORYLINES: The Jaguars return 21 of 22 starters from last year’s team that won the AFC South for the second time in franchise history and advanced to the divisional round of the playoffs. Jacksonville ended the season with a 27-20 loss at Kansas City and against a gimpy Patrick Mahomes, raising speculation that GM Trent Baalke and coach Doug Pederson would spend the offseason addressing a lackluster defense. But their most significant moves came on the other side of the ball: adding Ridley, re-signing TE Evan Engram and drafting Harrison, Strange and Bigsby — three guys who should pay immediate dividends in short-yardage situations. Baalke and Pederson raved about team chemistry in 2022, which was a major reason they retained as many starters as possible — an attempt to run it back and possibly go deeper into the postseason. Two huge needs: Ridley to make a smooth return after nearly two years away from football and edge rusher Travon Walker to take strides in his second season.
