JOSH MCCOWN, QB
Bears vs. Ravens
After filling in admirably for Jay Cutler on three occasions this season, McCown will get his second start of the year Sunday with Cutler out again (ankle). McCown is 42-for-70 for 538 yards, four TDs and no interceptions over the course of two partial games and one start this year. The Ravens’ defense has allowed 239.7 passing ypg, 18th in the league. | Credit: AP

Josh McCown never made it to Florham Park.

The free-agent quarterback -- who was scheduled to visit the Jets after stopping in Tampa Bay and Houston first -- instead signed a two-year deal with the Bucs on Wednesday.

"Excited for @JoshMcCown12 agreeing to a 2 year deal with the @TBBuccaneers," tweeted his agent, Mike McCartney.

Last year, McCown, 34, was coaching high school football. Now he has a chance to be a full-time starter. His deal reportedly is worth $10 million, plus incentives. McCown can earn $1 million in 2014 and 2015 through playing-time incentives and earn an additional $3 million if the Bucs make the playoffs.

It was widely assumed McCown would never make it to New Jersey for a visit. Now, the Jets will need to look elsewhere for a quarterback. Michael Vick remains the strongest free-agent possibility -- though it's unclear where the negotiations stand between he and the Jets at the moment.
