Packers-Cardinals earns best TV rating since '99
(AP) — The wild Packers-Cardinals game Sunday earned the highest television rating for a first-round playoff game since 1999.
Arizona's 51-45 overtime win on Fox drew a 21.8 rating and 36 share, the best since a 24.2/40 for a Packers-49ers game.
The Ravens' rout of the Patriots on CBS earned a 19.4 overnight rating and 38 share, up 14 percent from last year's Baltimore-Miami game.
Ratings represent the percentage of all households with televisions tuned into a program, and shares represent the percentage of all homes with TVs in use at the time. Overnight ratings measure the nation's largest markets.
