PITTSBURGH -- Antonio Brown had the most productive game of his splendid career, including a 57-yard reception that set up Chris Boswell's 18-yard field goal with two seconds left as the Steelers pulled out a 38-35 victory over the Oakland Raiders at Heinz Field.

However, the Steelers lost their starting quarterback in the process when Ben Roethlisberger's left foot was injured midway through the fourth quarter on a sack by linebacker Aldon Smith. Roethlisberger was helped off the field and then took a cart into the locker room.

The Steelers reported he was "questionable" to return for the game, and he did not.

Landry Jones came on and led the winning drive after Oakland had scored two touchdowns to come back from 14 points down.

But Jones came out and led the Steelers on a 79-yard drive, most of it when Brown took a short pass and turned it into a 57-yard gain to the Oakland 15 with 45 seconds left.

DeAngelo Williams ran 27 times for 170 yards and two touchdowns, and Roethlisberger threw two touchdown passes, one each to Martavis Bryant and rookie Jesse James.

Brown caught 17 passes for 284 yards, both franchise records.

Derek Carr threw four touchdown passes for the Raiders.

The Steelers led 35-21 in the fourth quarter, but Oakland scored one touchdown and then had a chance to tie it with the ball at the Steelers' 11 after Brown fumbled a punt at his 39.

But on third down, cornerback Ross Cockrell intercepted Carr with 4:21 left.

Nevertheless, Oakland did come back to tie it with 1:15 left when Carr threw a 38-yard touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree to complete a 69-yard drive in one minute.

Williams set up the Steelers' go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth quarter when he tore off the left side and picked up 53 yards to Oakland's 37.

Bryant finished off that 91-yard drive by catching Roethlisberger's short pass on the right and, behind a big block by James, made three Raiders miss to complete the 14-yard TD reception.

That broke a tie and put the Steelers in front 28-21 with 12:13 left in the game.

Forty-nine seconds later, it was 35-21. Roosevelt Nix slammed into Taiwan Jones returning the kickoff for Oakland, and the ball popped loose. Rookie Anthony Chickillo pounced on it at the six.

Two plays later, Roethlisberger threw a four-yard touchdown pass to James, wide open in the back of the end zone with 11:24 to go.

But Oakland was not done.

Boswell's kickoff went out of bounds and the Raiders started from their 40. It took them just four plays before Jamize Olawale ran free up the middle for a 19-yard touchdown, and it was 35-28 with 9:32 left.

Oakland's touchdown accounted for the only points of the third quarter that ended tied at 21.

It appeared the Steelers scored a touchdown on the first series of the second half when Ryan Shazier stripped Murray of the ball. Then Mike Mitchell picked it up and ran it in. However, a replay showed Mitchell had stepped out of bounds and did not have both feet back in bounds when he recovered.

That forced a Raiders punt. Bud Dupree deflected it, and the Steelers had a first down at the Raiders' 46. They did not make it past the 43 and punted.

Instead of possibly going up by 14, the Steelers found themselves back in a tie when the Raiders drove 90 yards on their next series. Carr's third touchdown pass, to tight end Lee Smith, carried one yard and it was 21-21.

Several possible game-turning plays then occurred. From his 14, Roethlisberger threw deep to Bryant down the left sideline. However, Bryant dropped his second pass of the game, this one at the Oakland 42.

On the next play, cornerback David Amerson intercepted Roethlisberger, and Oakland had the ball at the Steelers' 32. Two plays later, Mitchell slammed into Murray, forcing a fumble that Jarvis Jones recovered at the 25.

They drove to Oakland's 23, but could get no further and then Boswell missed his first field goal try, sending it wide from the 41. He had made his first 10 with the Steelers, including two in the first half.

Williams ran for two touchdowns as the Steelers led 21-14 at halftime.

Williams scored his second TD with 1:56 to go from the three on fourth down. It ended a 78-yard drive highlighted by Brown's 41-yard reception on third down to the 12.

Brown caught 10 passes for 180 yards in the first two quarters.

Boswell's second field goal with 29 seconds left put the Steelers on top by a touchdown at the half.

The Steelers grabbed the lead for the first time on Williams' 3-yard run to cap an 83-yard drive that began when Roethlisberger completed a 59-yard pass to Brown.

Roethlisberger then threw to Williams for the 2-point conversion and an 11-7 lead.

However, Oakland came back to score a touchdown to go back on top 14-11. The Raiders got the ball at the Steelers' 40 after a punt. Carr tossed his second touchdown pass of the first half, a 15-yarder to a wide-open Amari Cooper in the right corner of the end zone.

Oakland held a 7-3 lead after one quarter.

Mike Tomlin eschewed what would have been a 52-yard field goal in favor of going for it on fourth-and-four at the 34 on the game's first series. Roethlisberger's pass for Brown was tipped away. Before that, three different Steelers receivers dropped passes on that series.

It took the Raiders just three plays next to score, two really after a first-down incompletion. Murray ran off the right for 44 yards to the 22. On the next play, Carr threw a touchdown pass to Crabtree between Mitchell and Cockrell.

The Steelers did score on their next play, but they had to settle for Boswell's 34-yard field goal after failing to pick up a first down after reaching a second-and-one at Oakland's 13.
