As the NFL continued Tuesday to investigate the Jets’ treatment of TV reporter Ines Sainz, the Redskins’ Clinton Portis weighed in with a bluntly worded take on female reporters in locker rooms.

Speaking on Washington’s 106.7 The Fan, Portis said it is difficult to expect players not to take note of attractive women in their presence or for women not to take note of “guys walking around naked.’’

“You put a woman and you give her a choice of 53 athletes, somebody’s got to be appealing to her,’’ he said. “You know, somebody’s got to spark her interest, or she's gonna want somebody.

“I don't know what kind of woman won't, if you get to go and look at 53 men's [bodies].’’

The NFL said Portis’ comments were “clearly inappropriate, offensive and have no place in the NFL.’’
