Adam Fuchs, who grew up playing Bethpage and now officially plays out of Hamlet Wind Watch, shot 2-under-par 69 to tie for the lead in the Met Open On Bethpage Black.

It wasn't easy on the Black this morning. When Fuchs played, the wind was much stronger than it is now. Still, par 71 was a good score (that's what Garden City Golf Club pro Bob Rittberger shot to stay even for the tournament). Two under is even better.

This might be Fuchs' last pro tournament. He is getting married next year and said he is considering getting into either his father's business, ASF Shoes in Manhattan, or his future father-in-law's business, Abbe Lumber in Avenel, N.J. Then again, if he wins the Met Open....
