In answer to a question about whether dominating performers are good for sports, or whether it is better to have parity, Tiger Woods clearly came down on the side of excellence.

      "I've always been one that enjoyed watching dynasties or rivalries," he said. "I grew up on So Cal with the Lakers playing the Celtics...One of those teams won the NBA Finals for 10 straight years. And then obviously watching the Bulls, Michael [Jordan] winning six in a row."

      Then he added with maybe the only real news in his news conference. He revealed his baseball allegiance: "Obviously with Derek [Jeter] and the Yankees, being a big Yankee fan, to see what those guys have done, four out of five or four out of six, whatever it was, during that stretch, I've always liked that."
