Jared Burskey hit a three-pointer as time expired to give Plainview JFK a 46-43 win over Hicksville on Friday in its Nassau Conference AA-II boys basketball opener.

Hicksville tied the score at 43 on a putback by Justin Tocays with 11 seconds to go, but Plainview's Jordan Ross (11 points) took the inbounds pass and drove into the paint and found Burskey (11 points) for the winner. Alec Abramowitz led Plainview with 15 points.

Baldwin 84, Valley Stream Central 50: Kirk Staine had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Baldwin in Conference AA-I. Brandon Williams added 14 points, eight assists and five steals, Mykeil Tzul had nine assists and eight steals, and Kyle Richardson 10 points, nine rebounds and three blocks for the Bruins.

Westbury 56, Bellmore JFK 53: Jamaul Herron hit a late three-pointer and Giordan Walker (19 points, 19 rebounds) added two free throws to help Westbury erase a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit in Conference AA-III.

Long Beach 56, Mepham 46: Daryl Brown scored 13 of his 22 points in the third and Tariq Cole had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead Long Beach in Conference AA-III.

Manhasset 69, Valley Stream South 67: Alessandro Troia had 20 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists for Manhasset in Conference III. Dan Merola had 21 points and three steals in the win.

Uniondale 65, Syosset 50: Shaquille Mosley had 33 points and 10 assists and Kenny Woodard 13 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks for Uniondale in non-league.

Eastport-South Manor 55, Rocky Point 54: Anthony Annunziata had 11 points, including a runner in the lane to put ESM ahead 55-51 with two seconds left in overtime in Suffolk League V. Dalton McCarthy scored four of his 15 points in overtime for ESM, and Denis Sullivan had 10 points, including a three with four seconds left in regulation that tied the score at 47 and forced overtime.

Port Jefferson 51, Hampton Bays 48: Anthony Lanieri (21 points) hit a free throw with 9.9 seconds left to put Port Jefferson up 50-48 in its League VII opener. Brandon Fabbri added a free throw in the closing seconds for the final margin.Our Savior New American 68, Fort Washington (Md.) National Christian 65: Chris Obekpa had 14 points, 16 rebounds and 15 blocks to lead OSNA in the National Hoop Festival in Hyattsville, Md.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Port Washington 40, East Meadow 31: Christina Leonard scored all of her 11 points during a 28-17 second half for Port Washington in Conference AA-II. Ali Seltzer added six points and six steals, and Hayley Kerr nine points and five rebounds.

Baldwin 55, Valley Stream Central 50: Amber Harrison and Alex Hampton each scored 13 points for Baldwin in Conference AA-II.

Garden City 43, St. Mary's 39: Sophomore Taylor Carpentier scored a career-high 12 points, all in the second half, and had seven rebounds to lead Garden City in the Manhasset Tournament. Jess Stein added eight points, including two free throws to give the Trojans a 41-39 lead with 41 seconds left.

Center Moriches 52, Wyandanch 42: Victoria Fanie hit two three-pointers in the fourth quarter to help seal it for CM in League VII. Takia Plummer led CM with 13 points, and Claire Brady and Vanessa Lewis each scored 12 points.

Lynbrook 56, Great Neck North 30: Senior Brooke Gerstman had 26 points, including the 1,000th of her career to lead Lynbrook in Conference A-III.

Massapequa 49, Boothwyn (Pa.) Chichester 43: Morgan Roessler scored seven of her 13 points in the fourth quarter for Massapequa in the KSA Holiday Disney Classic semifinal. The Chiefs will play in the final at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Herricks 46, Elmont 35: Alison Ricchiuti had 29 points and nine rebounds to lead Herricks in Conference AA-III. Kim Givelechian added 13 points and nine rebounds. Elmont scored the first 13 points of the fourth quarter and cut a 17-point deficit to 38-34, but Ricchiuti converted a three-point play to put Herricks up 41-34.

East Rockaway 43, Friends Academy 41: Shannon Pujol had five of her 13 points in a 17-5 third quarter for East Rockaway in Conference BC.

Sacred Heart 45, Our Lady of Mercy 43: Nina Corcoran (14 points) fed Ally Rosenthal for a layup with 20 seconds left to give Sacred Heart the win in CHSAA.

St. John the Baptist 47, Kellenberg 40: Aliyah Smith had 11 points, including four free throws in the final 15 seconds to seal the win for St. John the Baptist in CHSAA.

BOYS SWIMMING

Syosset 100, Sewanhaka District 81: Nick Woska broke his own school record in diving with a 196.57 to lead Syosset in non-league. Woska bested his year-old record of 177. Ashwin Kelkar took the 50 freestyle in 23.85 for Syosset.

Hauppauge 94, North Babylon 83: Justin Plaschka won the 50 freestyle (21.81) and the 500 free (4:57.98) to lead Hauppauge. Trevor Maida won the 200 free (2:01.46), Travis Maida won the 200 individual medley (2:15.83) and Troy Maida won the diving (138.75) in the win.

BOYS FENCING

Wheatley 17, Great Neck North 10:Li Ting Chang went 3-0 in sabre and Charles Yu and Kuan Yu each went 3-0 in foil for Wheatley.

GIRLS FENCING

Great Neck North 18, Wheatley 9:Kristine Chen went undefeated in sabre, and Nicole Friedman and Nicole Levine went undefeated in foil for Great Neck North.
