Harborfields point guard Lucas Woodhouse, who earned first team Newsday All-Long Island honors last season as a junior, has accepted a scholarship to Division I Longwood (Va.) University. Woodhouse averaged 10 points and an L.I.-best 11 assists per game. Baldwin's Kirk Staine has also committed to Longwood.

Mical Boyd, an All-Nassau guard for Hempstead as a sophomore last season, has transferred to Half Hollow Hills West, where he will start for the two-time defending Long Island Class AA champions.

Upcoming all-star games. The second Suffolk-Nassau Alzheimer's Classic is at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Molloy College. The eighth Metro Classic, matching the Burbs (Long Island and Hudson Valley) against the Boros (New York City) is at 3 p.m. Oct. 30 at Archbishop Molloy. Seven Long Island players will be on the suburban team.
