Sledge, Rollino lift Hills West boys
Tavon Sledge had 22 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds and seven steals and Anthony Rollino (12 points) hit a pair of three-pointers in the final four minutes to lead Half Hollow Hills West to a 68-66 boys basketball win over Neptune (N.J.) yesterday in the Prime Time Shootout at Kean University in Union, N.J.
Rollino's three-pointers came in a 12-4 run for Half Hollow Hills West (12-4). Emile Blackman added 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Long Island Lutheran 82, Albany Academy 57: Jordan Allen had 19 points and 10 rebounds, Achraf Yacoubou had 11 points and 11 rebounds, and K.J. Lee scored 15 points for Long Island Lutheran (16-3) in non-league. Mike Florin added eight points and eight assists in the win.
Our Savior New American 73, Benedictine (Richmond, Va.) 57: Nick Lewis scored 20 points, Wil Martinez scored 12 points, and Christopher Obekpa added 10 points and 11 rebounds for OSNA (13-6) in a non-league game at Cameroon Indoor Stadium Friday night.
St. Mary's 76, All Hallows 57: Chavaughn Lewis had 22 points and five assists and Charles McCann had 16 points and 12 rebounds for St. Mary's (20-0) in non-league.
Patchogue-Medford 47, Connetquot 38: Ahmad Williams had 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead Patchogue-Medford (3-14) in non-league.
Waldorf 67, Waldorf (Baltimore) 41: Landon Twine scored 24 points and Costa Trikas added 18 points and 11 rebounds for Waldorf (15-3) in the second round of the Waldorf Invitational in Kimberton, Penn.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Mineola 49, Clarke 27:Kerri Medlock had 10 points and 10 rebounds and Kashanti Lawson scored 10 points for Mineola (8-2) in Nassau Conference A-IV. The Mustangs earned a share of the conference title.
North Babylon 48, Sacred Heart 42: Charise Wilson had 17 points, six assists and six steals and Tamara Simpson had 14points and 11 rebounds to lead North Babylon (17-0) in non-league.
St. Dominic 57, Westbury 40: Nicole Cacioppo scored 14 of her 17 points in the first half for St. Dominic (2-14) in non-league. Katie O'Brien had 14 points, four assists, and two rebounds for St. Dominic.
St. John the Baptist 50, Medgar Evers 29: Alexis Smith scored 11 points and Kamala Thompson added 10 points and 11 rebounds for SJB (14-5) in the Mecca High School Challenge at the Gauchos Gym in the Bronx.
Brianna Thomas had 10 points, seven rebounds, and four steals and Anastasia Williams 10 points and seven rebounds.
