John Tomasini's three-pointer gave New Hyde Park a two-point lead in overtime en route to a 66-64 win over Valley Stream South Friday in non-league boys basketball.

Tomasini (10 points) put the Gladiators up 63-61 with 40 seconds left in overtime and Kevin Towey's three free throws in the closing seconds sealed the win.

Towey had 24 points and four rebounds and Adam Priest added 14 points to lead New Hyde Park.

Freeport 68, Wantagh 54: Kyhiem Chaplin had 24 points and nine rebounds to lead Freeport. Leondre Simmon added 16 points and 12 assists, and Jere Brown scored 12 points for the Red Devils. Gerard Roche had 17 points for Wantagh.

Roslyn 67, Oyster Bay 60: Terrance Pierce scored 19 points and Mark Gjonlekaj had 11 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks to lead Roslyn, which won the Oyster Bay Tournament.

North Shore 71, Plainedge 38: Justin Bell had 33 points and 12 rebounds to lead North Shore. Matt Berman scored 10 points for Plainedge.

West Babylon 53, Westhampton 50: Mike Richardson scored 25 of his 32 points (including eight three-pointers) in the second half to lead West Babylon in the Islip Booster Club Tournament. Rashaad Cooper added four points and 20 rebounds. The Eagles erased a nine-point halftime deficit. Gaetano Innamorato hit two free throws with 20 seconds left to create the final margin for West Babylon.

Smithtown East 60, Ward Melville 53: Senior Jon Filer scored a career-high 34 points to go with 18 rebounds and two blocks to lead Smithtown East.

Shoreham-Wading River 34, Sayville 30: John Kovach scored five of his game-high 11 points during Shoreham-Wading River's 7-0 run to take control in the 12-7 fourth quarter. Chris Mahoney added nine points and 15 rebounds for the Wildcats.

West Hempstead 71, Valley Stream North 57: Ray Alexander had 26 points and eight rebounds to lead West Hempstead. Tyree Glascoe added 20 points, five assists and six steals, Pat D'Haiti had 12 points, six rebounds and six steals, and Danny Sheeler had nine rebounds. C.J. Byron had 22 points and seven rebounds for North.

Kellenberg 65, St. Francis Prep 57: Jeremy Arthur scored 11 of his 27 points in a 16-6 second quarter for Kellenberg. He also had six assists and nine rebounds. Rob Gomiela hit four free throws in the final minute to seal the win.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

St. Dominic 59, St. Francis Prep 52: Dana Campbell had 17 points, five assists and five rebounds to lead St. Dominic, which defeated St. Dominic for the first time in five years, according to coach Michele O'Brien. Junior Chinyere Ukwu recorded her first double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds and added five blocks. Up 53-50 with 1:10 left, Julia LoRusso (13 points) hit two free throws to extend the Bayhawks' lead. St. Francis Prep answered with a jump shot to pull within 55-52, but Katie O'Brien (16 points) hit a floater and St. Dominic added two free throws to secure the win.

Manhasset 53, Roslyn 32: Kaitlin Miller had 11 points and 11 rebounds, including seven in the fourth quarter, to lead Manhasset. Halle Majorana added 13 points and Jacqueline Albanese had 12 points for the Indians.

Calhoun 36, Oceanside 27: Dana Silvester, Danielle Losee and Nora Charidah totaled nine points as the Colts took control in a 9-3 fourth quarter. Losee had 12 points and Silvester added 11 points and four rebounds. Danielle Woodlyn had 16 points and seven rebounds for Oceanside.

Valley Stream District 751, Glen Cove 662: Dean Rossano shot a 191 and Danielle Cuomo had a 189 to lead Valley Stream District. Megan Pemberton shot a 175 and Catherine Liang a 167 for Glen Cove.
