Soccer roundup: Gangi's goal gives Baldwin girls win
Alyssa Gangi scored her first goal of the season off a cross from Ashley Sobel with four minutes left to lift Baldwin to a 3-2 win over Hicksville Tuesday in a Nassau Conference AA-I girls soccer game.
Gangi also had an assist for the Bruins (2-6-1). Freshman Kelsey Cohen scored her first varsity goal with 9:57 left to tie the score at 2 for Baldwin. Jade Aponte also scored in the win. Hicksville is 1-7-1.
MacArthur 1, Oceanside 0: Kelly Kempf scored the winner for MacArthur (7-2) off a feed from Jill Mulholland with 4:44 left in the second half in Conference AA-I.
Wheatley 2, Glen Cove 1: Rebecca Braito scored the winner off a feed from Chelsea Pincus 12 minutes into the second half to lead Wheatley (4-2) in non-league. Pincus scored six minutes into the second to tie the score at 1 for Wheatley.
Connetquot 3, Sachem East 2: Jamianne Eden scored the go-ahead goal off an assist from Dana Badala (two goals, one assist) with 10 minutes left for Connetquot (4-2) in Suffolk League II.
Our Lady of Mercy 3, Archbishop Molloy 2: Erin Allen scored the winner for Our Lady of Mercy (8-4-3) off a feed from Stefanie Pia with 10:25 left in non-league.

Calhoun 3, Valley Stream Central 1: Harry Davis had two goals and Matt Chin added a goal and an assist for Calhoun (4-3-2) in Nassau Conference AA-II.

Kings Park 1, Islip 0: Matt Peisoto scored off an assist from Andrew Ingargiola with 2:52 left in the second overtime for Kings Park (5-3) in League V. Peter Sicardi made six saves for the shutout.
