Laura Halsey and Bridget Stuckland defeated Catherine Barlett and Cece Combemale, 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (8-6), in third doubles in the deciding match for Westhampton (1-0) as it defeated Ross, 4-3, in League VII girls tennis.

Gabriella Franqui and Amber Coleman beat Alexa Veeraped and Christina Medina, 0-6, 7-5, 6-4, in second doubles.Mercy 4, Shoreham-Wading River 3:Marianne Naleski and Stefanie Blanco defeated Kristen Kirkland and Emma Stoll, 6-4, 6-4, in third doubles to clinch the match for Mercy (1-0) in League VIII.

Bayport-Blue Point 6, Connetquot 1: Fiona Stickney defeated Carolyn Kiriakos, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, at first singles to lead Bayport-Blue Point (2-0) in non-league.

Erin Byrnes had 19 kills and six digs for West Islip (1-0) in a 22-25, 25-21, 25-8, 25-19 League III win over Half Hollow Hills East. Jill Felix added 25 assists.

Smithtown East 3, East Islip 0: Delia Phillips had 20 kills and five blocks and Maggie Engellenner added 13 digs and nine aces for Smithtown East (1-0) in a 25-6, 25-8, 25-19 League III win.Mt. Sinai 3, Hampton Bays 0: Caleigh Bolese had 12 service points and recorded 16 assists for Mt. Sinai (1-0), which defeated Hampton Bays, 25-7, 25-14, 25-19, in League VII play.
