High school sports roundup: Football, boys soccer and girls volleyball scores

Colin Clark rushed for 145 yards and five touchdowns on 16 carries and completed 6 of 8 passes for 167 yards to lead visiting Bayport-Blue Point to a 45-9 win over Center Moriches in Suffolk Division IV football Saturday night.

Josh Franchak had five carries for 48 yards and a score and added a 55-yard reception. Collin Reyer added 71 yards on nine carries. Brayden Waldbauer had four receptions for 72 yards and Aiden Richman had two receptions for 40 yards for Bayport-Blue Point (5-0).

Caleb Delgado ran for a 70-yard touchdown for Center Moriches (1-4).

BOYS SOCCER

Connetquot 3, North Babylon 1: After a scoreless first half, CJ DeRosa opened the scoring early in the second half and Luke Pena and Cristian Goncalves each added goals to lead Connetquot (4-6-2) in Suffolk I on Monday. Jared Rivers scored for North Babylon (3-7-3) and Luca Turan made four saves.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Glenn 3, Shoreham-Wading River 0: Taleah Angus had 12 kills, 10 digs and six aces and Cassidy Geard had 15 assists and six digs as Glenn (7-5) won, 25-15, 25-23, 25-12, in Suffolk VI. Taylor Tremaroli added 12 assists, four digs and two aces and Olivia White had eight kills and two blocks.

Smithtown West 3, West Islip 0: Kalia Wheeler had 22 assists and six aces as Smithtown West (12-1) won, 25-16, 25-15, 25-18, in Suffolk IV. Taylor Marsh had nine kills and Nicole Zarcone added 14 digs.

Centereach 3, Half Hollow Hills East 0: Francesca Vera had 10 kills, five aces and two blocks and Chloe Arnaiz had 14 kills and five aces as Centereach (10-5) won, 25-14, 25-14, 25-15, in Suffolk III. Kayleigh Balsamo had 25 assists.

East Islip 3, Bellport 1: Sophie Snoble had eight blocks, Anna Kohlhoff had 32 assists and Lexi Kneisel had 11 kills as East Islip (5-9) won, 24-26, 25-23, 25-22, 25-16. Kate Vessalico had five aces.

Commack 3, Newfield 2: Casey Colombo totaled 12 kills, 25 digs and four aces to lead Commack in five sets, 19-25, 25-10, 23-25, 25-23, 15-12, in Suffolk II. Ava Khan added 40 digs and four aces for Commack (6-8). For Newfield (7-7), Cameron Gamble added 10 kills, 13 digs and five blocks.
