Sack leads Plainview girls gymnastics win
Jordan Sack won the all-around with a 35.15 and had a 9.05 on beam as Plainview completed its regular season undefeated with a 166.15-160.55 win over Massapequa Wednesday in Nassau Conference I girls gymnastics.
Plainview is 9-0. Massapequa (8-1) was led by Katie Wall who had a 33.75 in the all-around.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Farmingdale 52, Uniondale 46: Kelly McPartland scored 14 of her 26 points in the second quarter to lead Farmingdale (7-1) in Nassau Conference AA-I. Alexis Panariello had 10 points and seven rebounds and Nadine Hadnagy hit four free throws in the final minute for the Dalers. Aliyah McDonald scored 22 points for Uniondale.
Smithtown East 51, East Islip 45: Nicole Shevlin had 18 points and eight rebounds and Shannon O'Connor added 16 points to lead Smithtown East (5-5) in Suffolk League III. Paige Meehan scored 20 points, including six three-pointers for East Islip.
East Hampton 44, Amityville 40: Kaelyn Ward had 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals for East Hampton (6-3) as it held off a late Amityville run in League VI. Brianna Sinclair had 14 points for Amityville.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Uniondale 58, Farmingdale 41: Shaquille Mosley had 20 points and 10 assists, Roderick Epps had 13 points, five steals and three blocks and Barry Robinson added three steals to lead Uniondale (7-2) in Nassau Conference AA-I. Dalique Mingo scored 19 points for Farmingdale.
Newfield 61, Smithtown West 56: Nana Nsiahyeboah 12 of his 27 points in overtime to lead Newfield (4-6) in League III. Smithtown West's Tom Whalen (13 points) hit a three-pointer with three seconds left in regulation to tie the game and force the extra session.
