Jonathan Sanders and Ryan Wennberg overcame a one set deficit to upend Mike Lem and Rob Duetti in the deciding first doubles match, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, yesterday as top-seeded St. Anthony's topped four-time defending champ and second-seeded Chaminade, 4-3, in the CHSAA boys team tennis championship at Hofstra.

It was St. Anthony's (13-1) first CHSAA title since 2006. Friars first singles ace John D'Alessandro was named playoff MVP.

Lynbrook 5, South Side 2:Matt DeMichiel defeated Billy Rizzuto, 6-2, 6-2, in first singles for second-seeded Lynbrook (8-3) in a in a Nassau Conference II-B playoff match.

Massapequa 4, Hicksville 3:Nick Krebs and Thomas DaCosta defeated Joe Cutaia and Neel Tarikeri, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, at third doubles to lead Massapequa (14-0) in Conference III. Top-seeded Massapequa will host No. 4 Locust Valley in a conference semifinal playoff match on Monday.

BOYS TRACK

Longwood 81, Brentwood 60: Blake Evans won the long jump (22 feet, 3 1/2), the 200-meter dash (22 seconds) and anchored the winning 4x100 relay (43.7) for Longwood (5-0), which clinched the League I title. Joe Fuller won the 800 (2:00) and anchored the winning 4x400 relay (3:24.6).

GIRLS TRACK

Huntington 96, Eastport-South Manor 54: Dania Merilan won the 100 (13.0), the 200 (27.2) a was a member of the winning 4x100 relay (52.5) for Huntington (4-3) in League V.Patchogue-Medford 90, Commack 60: Seland Chaplin won the long jump (15-6), the triple jump (32- 4) and high jump (5-0) for Patchogue-Medford (3-2) in League I.
