More bad weather and the threat of icy roads have led numerous Long Island school districts to cancel afternoon and evening activities, as a frigid, wet and snowy winter continues to roll on.

Among those sports activities canceled were a boys basketball game between St. Anthony's and Chaminade, a girls basketball game between Garden City and Division and a boys swimming meet featuring Sachem East and Deer Park/North Babylon. Despite some schools in the tournament canceling evening activities, the small and large schools Suffolk boys bowling championships at East Islip Lanes and Coram Lanes have proceeded as scheduled.

As of 3:30 p.m., the following high schools had curtailed Tuesday athletic activities: Syosset, Glen Cove, Massapequa, Locust Valley, Chaminade, Ward Melville, Longwood, Harborfields, Sachem East, Sachem North, St. Anthony's, Centereach, Newfield, Northport, Kings Park, Smithtown East, Smithtown West, Smithtown Christian, Miller Place, Hempstead, Shoreham-Wading River, Westbury and Jericho.
