Munro's pin clinches match for Hauppauge

Sayville's Matt Leshinger defeated Mark West, the state champion at 96 pounds, 3-2, at 112, but the Golden Flashes lost to Hauppauge, 41-30, Wednesday in League V. Austin Munro pinned Justin Siracusa in 3:46 at 103 pounds to clinch it for Hauppauge (5-2).

St. John the Baptist 46, Holy Trinity 33: Jonathan Force pinned with a hip toss in 2:33 to win the 171-pound match and lead St. John Baptist (2-1) in CHSAA. Ryan Antoniwich pinned with a Peterson in 2:26 to win at 189.

Floyd 38, Patchogue-Medford 21: Matt Bradic won a 17-3 decision over Corey Ashe to clinch the victory for Floyd (1-0) at 103 pounds in League I.

Bay Shore 39, Whitman 30: Shakore Philip pinned Luke Rise in 2:23 at 215 pounds in the last match of the night to secure the victory for Bay Shore (1-0) in League II.

Connetquot 46, Central Islip 18: John Zullo had to hold down David Ming for the final minute in overtime to secure a 3-2 decision at 171 pounds to lead Connetquot (4-2) in League II.

Newfield 50, East Islip 27: Eric Diaz scored a third-period takedown to win a major decision over Matt Drywa, 11-3, and seal the win for Newfield (1-0) in League III.

Huntington 43, Eastport-South Manor 27: Louis Puca pinned Jared Usher in 1:09 at 171 for Huntington (1-0) in League V.

Glenn 67, Shoreham-Wading River 9: Ken Meinsen won a 4-3 decision over Nik Mullen at 135 pounds for Glenn (2-0) in League VI.

Rocky Point 59, East Hampton 19: Kevin Mauro got a reversal in the last 20 seconds of his 7-6 decision over Louis Escobar at 103 to lead Rocky Point (1-0) in League VI.

Miller Place 49, Amityville 30: Chris Aschauer pinned Gary Brown at 130 in 5:55 to lead Miller Place (1-0) in League VI.

Syosset 57, Sewanhaka East 24: Nick Bilianis pinned Raisken Mert with a guillotine in 5:32 to win the 189-pound match to clinch the win for Syosset in Conference I-A.

Massapequa 48, Freeport 21: Julius Diaz of Freeport won a 3-2 decision over Nick Chicoine at 140 in the Conference I-A victory.

Division 37, Roslyn 21: Division's Alex Bossert beat Tyler Calinda of Roslyn, 4-2, in overtime at 119 to lead Division (19-6) in Conference III-A.

Lawrence 54, Great Neck North 24: Fahil Aggarwal beat Christian Montoya in a 9-4 decision, scoring the last six points at 160 to lead Lawrence (1-1) in Conference III-B.

Locust Valley 56, Carle Place 21: Jordan Formicola came back from a 6-2 deficit heading into the third period to pin Pat Shaw (5:24) in the 140 match for Locust Valley (2-0) in Conference IV-B.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Our Savior New American 115, Christian Heritage 59: Javon Thomas scored 19 points and had eight assists, five steals and five rebounds in two quarters, and Felix Balamou had 20 points to lead Our Savior New American (8-4) in non-league. Daouda Soumaoro had 15 points, 20 rebounds and seven blocks, and Christopher Obekpa added 14 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks for the winners.

Lawrence Woodmere Academy 71, Kew Forest 51: Jerome Hayden had 20 points and 10 assists to lead Lawrence Woodmere Academy (7-1) in non-league. Jamal Benn and Michael Licatesi each added 11 points.

Stony Brook 68, Shelter Island 33: Tim Pandolfi scored 19 of his game-high 22 points in a 38-17 first half to lead Stony Brook (1-0) in League VIII.
